Besides his teaching qualifications, Tony holds a Doctorate in Music Education and a BA (honours) degree in Band Studies. He is justifiably proud to have a paragraph dedicated to him in the prestigious 'Who's who in Classical Music.' A semi-professional trombonist for 35 years, he now teaches at six local primary schools, is the Principal of the Charles Cross School of Music, and still finds time to play his trombone and conduct various ensembles. With five of his books already published by Spartan Press, his new one, entitled 'Music in education - are we failing the children?' is due to be published in 2007.
Tony's role in the business is to ensure that only good quality instruments and value for money products are sold at Maestro's. It is he that deals with the many professional musicians and teachers who visit the shop. He is on hand to discuss parents needs; especially to give good advice on the choice of instrument, practice routines and help if needs be, to find suitable, qualified tuition.
